Tomas David Hood is a songwriter, registered with BMI, and a singer, guitarist, and sound engineer. Tomas is a member of the Songwriters Guild of America, and is actively pursuing music both as a solo artist, and as a published songwriter.
Tomas started playing music while in the 4th grade, back in the early 1970's, when he was encouraged to try playing a clarinet in the school "band." That did not work out very well. Tomas ventured into playing an electric guitar about the same time. However, it was not until 1979 that Tomas became dedicated to learning the guitar.
In the 1980's and 1990's, Tomas was a radio DJ and a radio station technician/engineer. Tomas also worked as a sound engineer for live venues, and was part of a musical team, where Tomas played rythm guitar and occassional drums.
After 2000, Tomas became more dedicated to songwriting. In 2007, Tomas decided to become a professional songwriter as well as a performing artist.
Tomas plays a Peavey T-60 electric guitar, and two Taylor acoustic/electric guitars, the 614ce and the T-5. Tomas uses Line6 and Genz Benz equipment.

I am a guitarist, and songwriter. I am on a new leg in my musical journey. I am currently creating songs both with a Western/Folk mix, as well as tunes with a rock and pop feel. I really enjoy acoustic work, but then there is a time when electrified guitars just meet the need.
I'm putting together a recording studio for song writing and demo work. Slowly, but surely, this project is taking shape.

Summer Winds
Well, it is fully summer, here in the Bitterroot Valley in western Montana. I've been working to complete my recording studio. At the same time, I am working on a mix of both acoustic-based songs, as well as "electrified' tunes.
